Here she is… one year later. Some have gone, a couple new ones came in and most have taken root. I water the succulent wall with a spray bottle. It’s become a meditative ritual contemplating the succulents in their current state, anticipating how they’ll grow and reflecting on how they started in the pallet wall.

All packed up and ready to go… to Mexico! I’m going to Mexico City for some fun adventure. I will visit my friend who is an antiques dealer and we will walk the city in search of fabulous things. Inspiration overload is coming on, just thinking about all that I will see! My duffel bag contains clothes for a week and all I need with some extra room to hopefully bring back some goodies. And my Gardenia Cream messenger has everything I normally carry in my handbag and my computer. This is traveling light!

And look! my 13″ laptop fits perfectly into our new style, Gardenia. I love this structured and sturdy messenger because it keeps me organized, it’s not too big and it’s light! Gardenia Coral is already sold out but we have a few Gardenia Cobalt and Gardenia Cream (like mine pictured) left in stock. Now off to Mexico! Always, AMY

In my fashion world… not everyday is glamorous. Especially a few of the days last week when I was playing warehouse monkey. (Although for me, every day does involve playing in one form or another.) We received our shipment a couple weeks early, so I was frantically processing orders and preparing the shipments. There were 66 large boxes. It’s feels pretty good to have my name on the side of all of them, and not so good after moving them all around.

My mom always tells me I have bad timing because I call her whenever she’s in the middle of eating or something important. This time, she had bad timing for being in LA when my shipment came in. So at least I had a fun helper that made me not work too hard!

The next day we went up to Malibu and enjoyed the day. Here I am with my new Spring bag, Gardenia Cream. So excited about this new style.

and Mom is loving the perfect day at Adamson House at Surfrider Beach.

Opening up my new handbags and wearing them makes me feel like I’m having a glamorous fashion day. What makes you feel that way? Always, AMY

OMG! It’s going to be a busy week! I just heard that we are getting our shipment tomorrow! Yikes! That’s 2 weeks early!! I really don’t feel prepared so I have a feeling I’ll be scrambling this week. Can’t wait to post about the new bags next week and how it all unfolds in our warehouse. By next week a lot of you who have ordered your bags already, will have them!

O, and yes… it’s Valentine’s Day on Thursday! Maybe it’s a blessing I don’t have a hot date this year??! Well, my mom is in town visiting, so I’ll put her to work packing up your orders. Then I imagine we’ll relax after it’s all done. Here’s my Valentine’s card to you… Big hug!

HI! I’m really excited about our Spring Collection coming in soon! This season, I tried to really make each bag so different than our previous collections. We have these BRAND new styles; Gardenia, Tulip, Lily and Dandelion. And we brought back our classics, of course, Gladiola and Hydrangea. We have two new prints in this collection, Zig Zag which is a really unique, watercolorish chevron pattern. Some bags have the yellow zig zag and some have a multi colored blueish zig zag. And then of course, I mix it up with contrasting faux leather colors, creating really unique Spring handbags.

and our other print draws inspiration from the sea. ‘Coral’ is a unique pattern of rich reef life I see in a whole new world under the surface of the ocean. The bright coral color we used for this pattern is perfectly on trend for Spring 2013.

Ok, so I’ve been telling everyone that our first ship date is February 28th, but it’s looking like they may be early! I hope you all have been having as wonderful of a Christmas and Holiday time as I am. Before I left for Islamorada, I took these pictures of my orchids that are just opening up. It reminds me of the winter solstice happening and now that we are past December 21st, the days are getting longer and we can open up to the sun, just like these orchids. I got this orchid from my grandfather who past away a couple years ago. This is the first time this orchid has bloomed in 3 years.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to come! I’m in Islamorada, FL with my parents helping them out with their swim school business and getting some ocean time and sun in all the while. I hope my orchid flower brightens up your day! Always, AMY
